Securities Account At Banks Rises By 305.9 Trillion Turkish Liras

ANKARA - The securities account at banks rose 305.9 trillion Turkish Liras (TL) to 61 quadrillion 409.7 trillion TL on May 7, 2004.
The total securities account at banks were 61 quadrillion 103.8 trillion TL on April 30.
The Central Bank data show that there were a total of 60 quadrillion 439.8 trillion TL of securities including 38 quadrillion 1.6 trillion TL of securities and 22 quadrillion 438.2 trillion TL of securities over foreign currency in the deposit banks portfolio.
The TL securities at deposit banks are composed of 1 quadrillion 773.1 trillion TL in treasury bonds, 35 quadrillion 614.8 trillion TL in state debenture bonds and 583.1 trillion TL in stocks.
A total of 1 quadrillion 50.9 trillion TL of foreign currency securities at these banks are abroad while there is a total of 21 quadrillion 260.6 trillion TL of state debenture bonds among the domestic securities.
The total securities account at the development and investment banks were 966.2 trillion TL.
