ANKARA - Eurasian countries will convene in Istanbul for cooperation in telecommunications.
Turkish Telecommunications Agency will host a meeting named ''Meeting on Cooperation in Eurasian Telecommunications Arrangements'' at Grand Cevahir Hotel in Istanbul between May 20-24. The meeting aims to settle an effective and permanent environment of cooperation among Caucasian and Central Asian countries and Turkey in field of telecommunications arrangements.
Participants will discuss enhancement of relations among regional countries in field of telecommunications and establishment of a joint mechanism that aims to settle an effective and lasting cooperation among regulator institutions.
Telecommunications ministers of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan and high-level officials from those countries' institutions responsible for telecommunications regulations are invited to the meeting.
A memorandum of understanding is planned to be signed at the end of the meeting.
