ANKARA - Turkish Foreign Ministry harshly condemned on Thursday the Israeli attack which was launched on Palestinians during a protest march in Rafah city at Gaza Strip yesterday.
Foreign Ministry said in statement, ''we harshly condemn attack of Israeli helicopters and tanks on Palestinians who hold a protest at Rafah Refugee Camp, killing at least 15 people, including children, and injuring many people.''
''Like terrorist activities launched on Israeli civilians, the military operations and destruction directly aiming at Palestinian civilians cannot have any rightful reason and legal basis,'' said the statement.
The statement said that Turkey repeats one more time that extreme use of power which harm life and property of Palestinian civilians in fight against terrorism would not strengthen the security of Israel, adding that Turkey, together with international community, demanded Israel to rapidly stop such operations and destruction.
Ankara called sides to take steps with mutual responsibility in line with international laws and Road Map with moderation and common sense.
