MANAMA - Turkish Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan proceeded to Bahrain on Wednesday after attending Joint Economic Commission meetings in Saudi Arabia.
Unakitan attended a reception hosted during the Turkish Export Products Fair organized by Istanbul Chamber of Commerce in Manama, Bahrain.
During the reception, Unakitan met with Commerce Minister Ali Salih Abdallah al-Salih of Bahrain and State Minister Abd al-Husayn Ali al-Mirza.
Replying to questions of Turkish journalists during the reception, Unakitan said, ''the issues of transportation and animal products were among the most important problems between Turkey and Saudi Arabia. We have reached an agreement with Saudi officials to resolve these problems. All obstacles in front of sale of Turkish animal products in Saudi Arabia were removed. Meanwhile, the transportation minister of Saudi Arabia will come to Turkey in the coming days. Turkish and Saudi transportation ministers will sign an agreement to resolve the problems in transportation.''
