Exports From Gap To Eu Rise By 53 Percent

GAZIANTEP - Exports from Southeastern Anatolia Project (GAP) region to 14 European Union (EU) member countries rose by 53 percent in the first four months of 2004, sources said on Wednesday.
Sources at Southeastern Anatolia Exporters Association (GAIB) told A.A correspondent that GAP region raised an income of 101 million 414 thousand U.S. dollars through its exports to 14 EU member countries between January and April 2004.
GAP region had exported goods worth of 66 million 279 thousand U.S. dollars in the same period of the previous year.
Live animals, water products, dried fruit, cereals, textile and raw materials were main export goods to EU member countries.
