ANKARA-RIYADH - Turkish Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan, who is currently in Riyadh for Turkey-Saudi Arabia Joint Economic Committee (JEC) meetings, invited Saudi investors to Turkey, the Finance Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
Unakitan met with Saudi Agriculture Minister Fahd bin Abd al-Rahman bin Sulayman Balghunaym on Monday and had a meeting with Commerce and Industry Minister Hashim bin Abdallah bin Hashim Yamani on Tuesday.
Following this meeting, Turkey-Saudi Arabia JEC meeting started.
Delivering a speech in the meeting, Unakitan said that the two countries could not use their potential in economic field and noted that trade volume between Turkey and Saudi Arabia should be increased.
Informing participants about measures which aim to improve investment atmosphere in Turkey, Unakitan said that Turkey entered a new period in privatization and sectorial liberalization policies.
