ADANA - Adana Chamber of Commerce (ATO) and Adana Chamber of Industry (ASO) signed on Monday commercial and economic cooperation protocol with Italy's Forli Cesena Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
ATO Chairman Saban Bas said during the signing ceremony that commercial relations between Turkey and Italy would gain momentum and two countries would take new steps in exports and imports thanks to that cooperation among chambers.
Bas said that the protocol would provide two countries with new business opportunities.
Two countries would search for cooperation and investment opportunities and organize fairs and seminars under the protocol, Bas noted.
Bas stated that Italy was a very important trade partner for Adana.
Noting that Italy was ranking the second among countries where Adana exported, Bas said that Adana exported goods worth of 76 million U.S. dollars to Italy last year.
Forli Cesena Chamber of Industry and Commerce Acting Chairman Giuseppe Corzani said that Adana had many similarities with their region.
Corzani stated that Forli Cesena was a very important city for Italy's fresh vegetable and fruit exports and stressed that Adana had the same importance for Turkey.
Noting that they could increase exports and imports by improving relations with Turkey, Corzani said that it would be a very important step for Turkey's development.
