92nd Ilo International Labor Conference To Be Held In Geneva

ANKARA - The International Labor Organization (ILO) will hold the 92nd International Labor Conference in Geneva, Switzerland, between June 1 and 17, 2004.
Turkish Labor and Social Security Minister Murat Basesgioglu will attend the meeting on behalf of the Turkish government.
Turkish Confederation of Employers' Unions (TISK) Secretary General Bulent Pirler, Confederation of Turkish Labor Unions (Turk-Is) Chairman Salih Kilic, and representatives of the Moral Rights Workers Union (Hak-is) and the Confederation of Revolutionary Workers' Unions (DISK) will also attend the conference.
Turkey is not expected to be included in the Application Committee which inspect whether or not countries put ILO conventions into practice.
This year's conference is expected to focus on the issues of migrant workers, fishery sector, development of human resources and training.
