U.S. Secretary Of State Rice Departs From Ankara

ANKARA - U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice departed from Ankara and proceeded to Istanbul on Friday.
Rice will attend Conference on Iraq in Istanbul on Saturday.
Rice held meetings with Turkish President Abdullah Gul, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan as well as Foreign Minister Ali Babacan in Ankara.
Rice and Babacan had held a joint press conference and Rice said, "the United States considers PKK as a terrorist organization and a common enemy. We have agreed with Turkish FM Ali Babacan that effective measures must be taken so that Turkey is not faced with terrorist attacks in the future."
