ANKARA - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan received U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Friday.
The closed-doors meeting lasted about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan, Justice & Development (AK) Party Deputy Chairman Egemen Bagis, PM Erdogan's military adviser Gen. Nusret Tasdeler and U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Ross Wilson were also in attendance at the meeting.
Following her meeting with PM Erdogan, Rice met Turkish FM Babacan at Turkish MFA.
The two ministers are expected to hold a joint press conference after the meeting. Rice will also be received by Turkish President Abdullah Gul later in the day.
She is scheduled to head to Istanbul late Friday to participate in an international conference on Iraq, which will gather representatives of several countries, including Iraq's neighbors, international organizations and world's leading countries.
