International Conference On Iraq - High-level Officials' Meeting Begins

ISTANBUL - High-level officials' meeting began on Friday ahead of Saturday's ministerial-level international conference on Iraq in Istanbul.
Turkey's Special Envoy to Iraq Oguz Celikkol presides the meeting in Conrad Hotel.
In a brief statement prior to the meeting, Celikkol said they would work on draft final statement to be presented to the approval of ministers in their Saturday's meeting. He said the draft was prepared together with the Iraqi delegation.
The meeting is closed to the press.
Executives from Turkey, Iraq, Bahrain, Canada, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Japan , Jordan, Kuwait, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Britain, USA and Syria are attending the meeting.
On the other hand executives from Arab League, EU, OIC and U.N. are present at the meeting as observers.
United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and foreign ministers of many countries will attend the international conference that will take place at Ciragan Palace on Saturday.
