NEW YORK - US aircraft maker Boeing said Monday that Chile's LAN Airlines had ordered 26 of its 787 Dreamliners and two cargo planes, in a deal valued at a total five billion dollars at list prices.
The Boeing Company said that the Santiago-based LAN had ordered 26 Dreamliners and would lease six 787s from International Lease Finance Corp., "marking the largest 787 acquisition to date for Latin America."
In addition, Boeing said LAN also had committed to acquiring four 777 Freighters -- two from Boeing and two to be leased from GE Commercial Aviation Services (GECAS).
