ANKARA - Foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts rose 61 million U.S. dollars to 67 billion 557 million U.S. dollars between April 22 and 30, 2004.
According to Central Bank's provisional statistics, total foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks was 67 billion 516 million U.S. dollars on April 16.
Foreign exchange deposits climbed 64 million U.S. dollars to 51 billion 116 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Total internal foreign exchange deposits fell 16 million U.S. dollars to 48 billion 531 million U.S. dollars and external foreign exchange deposits rose 80 million U.S. dollars to 2 billion 586 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Meanwhile, total foreign exchange deposits at the interbank market rose 95 million U.S. dollars to 668 million U.S. dollars.
Foreign exchange deposits with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts climbed 386 million U.S. dollars from 16 billion 461 million U.S. dollars on April 30 to 16 billion 847 million U.S. dollars as of May 7.
