ANKARA - Turkish Central Bank announced Thursday that its foreign exchange reserves rose to 70.2 billion USD on October 26th.
Foreign currency reserves were 69.6 billion USD on October 19th.
In its weekly bulletin, the Central Bank indicated its total gross reserves (foreign currency plus gold) reduced to 116.5 billion USD on October 19th. On October 11th, the Central Bank's total gross reserves were 119.3 billion USD. Of that, 44.1 billion USD was from privately owned companies, including commercial banks while the Central Bank held the rest.
Meanwhile, Turkey repaid 3.2 billion USD in foreign debt in October. Turkey has repaid 16.9 billion USD in foreign debt since the beginning of the year.
