Czech Delegation Visits Turkish Parliament

ANKARA - Vojtech Filip, deputy parliament speaker of Czech Republic, and an accompanying delegation visited the Turkish parliament on Thursday.
The delegation, which is currently paying a formal visit to Turkey to attend the "Czech Days" in Istanbul, met Deputy Parliament Speaker Nevzat Pakdil.
Pakdil said they aimed at further improving Turkey's relations with Czech Republic in all areas. "The trade volume between our two countries is about 1 billion USD, and it is far away from the desired level. We want to increase it," he said.
Meanwhile, Filip said Czech businessmen wanted to both join privatization process of energy distribution networks in Turkey and invest in Turkey in nuclear energy.
The delegation, later, met Parliamentary Planning and Budget Committee Chairperson Sait Acba and Parliamentary Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information & Technology Committee Chairperson Soner Aksoy.
