ANKARA - Egemen Bagis, deputy chairperson of Justice and Development (AK) Party, hosted a luncheon in honor of Turgay Avci, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), in Ankara on Thursday.
During the luncheon at AK Party HQ, Bagis said Avci arrived in capital Ankara to hold a series of important talks.
Bagis also said ferry services started between the TRNC and Syria last week and Turkish Cypriot citizens could visit this country with their own passports from now on.
"These are quite important developments for the TRNC," Bagis said.
Meanwhile, Avci said the TRNC currently carried out the most powerful foreign policy of the last 30 years.
"We are carrying on with our foreign policy with the support of the Turkish government," Avci said.
