Exports From Gap Region Increase

GAZIANTEP - Exports from Southeastern Anatolia Project (GAP) region increased 92 percent to 402 million 244 thousand U.S. dollars in the first four months of 2004.
In the same period last year, the region exported products of 209 million 779 thousand U.S. dollars.
Southeast Anatolian Exporters' Association officials told the A.A on Wednesday that the region exported 244 million 338 thousand U.S. dollars in textiles, 66 million 717 thousand U.S. dollars in grain-cereals, 33 million 438 thousand U.S. dollars in dried fruits, and 1 million 852 thousand U.S. dollars bin livestock in the January-April period of the year.
Exports from GAP region in the January-April periods of 2003 and 2004 and rates of differences are as follows:
