ANKARA - Turkish Treasury held on Tuesday two auctions to sell 196-day discounted Treasury bond denominated in Turkish lira (TL) and 511-day discounted state notes denominated in TL.
In the 196-day discounted bond auction, the composite interest rate was 29.44 percent while the simple interest became 27.69 percent.
The composite interest became 30.94 percent and the simple interest was 32.77 percent in the 511-day discounted state note auction.
In the 196-day discounted Treasury bond auction, the total bid had been 884.4 trillion TL. The Treasury sold 372.7 trillion TL of nominal-valued bonds and the net sale became 324.4 trillion TL.
The Treasury bonds will be issued on May 12, 2004 and repaid on November 24, 2004.
In the 511-day state note auction, the total bid had been 4 quadrillion 623.7 trillion TL. The Treasury sold 1 quadrillion 456.8 trillion TL of nominal-valued bonds while the net sale became 997.8 trillion TL.
The state notes will be issued on May 12, 2004 and repaid on October 5, 2005.
Turkish Treasury will repay 3 quadrillion 26 trillion TL in domestic debt this week.
