Two female Turkish athletes, fencer Irem Karamete and race walker Ayse Tekdal, booked their Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games tickets.
Turkish Fencing Federation said that Karamete, 27, who placed at eighth position and collected 21 points at Qatar Grand Prix, won the quota place for the Olympics.
Also, race walker Tekdal finished in first place with 1 hour, 30 minutes, and 12 seconds in women’s 20 km walk at the 20th edition of the Balkan Race Walking Championships.
