Security Forces Intercept Nearly One Tones Of Drugs At Edirne Border Gates In First Four Months Of 2004

EDIRNE - Security forces seized a total of 937,6 kg of drugs at Kapikule, Ipsala and Derekoy border gates of northwestern Edirne province in the first four months of 2004.
A total of 266,6 kg of heroin and 136,9 kg of hashish were seized at Kapikule border gate and 48,8 kg of heroin was intercepted at Derekoy border gate, while a total of 444,7 kg of heroin was seized at Ipsala border gate in the first four months of 2004.
Security forces have detained 33 people regarding those incidents in that period.
