ATHENS - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is currently paying a visit to Greece, met with Communist Party leader Aleka Papariga on Friday. Following her meeting with Erdogan, Papariga said that they wanted Turkish-Greek relations to be developed on the basis of friendship between peoples of the two countries. Stating that determination of continental shelf in Aegean Sea was the only problem between Turkey and Greece, Papariga said that Aegean Sea was an international sea. She added that peoples of the two countries could use this sea on the basis of international law and mutual respect. Papariga added that they wanted a fair and lasting solution based on bi-zonality and two societies in Cyprus. (EÖ-AÖ) 07.05.2004
