ATHENS - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with PASOK leader George Papandreou on Friday.
Following his meeting with Erdogan, Papandreou said that Erdogan and he discussed Turkish-Greek relations, situation after referenda in Cyprus and Turkey's European Union (EU) process in the meeting.
Papandreou said that a new relation with Turkey started in Helsinki and noted that Turkey was moving slowly, but in a stable way.
Stating that Erdogan and he also discussed opening of Heybeliada seminary and minorities in Turkey, Papandreou said that they told Erdogan that the issue of opening of seminary should be solved as a European issue.
Papandreou stressed that they supported Turkey's path for EU and added that they wanted to see Turkey in Europe.
