ATHENS - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is paying an official visit to Greece, met on Friday with Greek Parliament Speaker Anna Psarouda-Benaki. Following his meeting with Benaki, Erdogan said that the two countries were taking steps to a very different period. ''Those will be steps of a period of peace and love which the two countries will leave to next generations.'' Erdogan said that he told Benaki that Turkish Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc invited her to Turkey. Setting up friendship groups between Turkish and Greek parliaments would further improve ties between the two countries, Erdogan added. Benaki said that they would work for relations to be further improved between the parliaments of the two countries and noted that they would continue to extend efforts for development of cooperation. Later, Erdogan attended the meeting of Turkish-Greek Cooperation Council. (EÖ-AÖ) 07.05.2004
