Istanbul To Host Second Meeting Of E.U. And O.I.C. In October

DUBLIN - Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul has said that the second meeting of the European Union (EU) and the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) would be held in Istanbul between October 4 and 5, 2004.
Speaking at the Mid-Term Ministerial Meeting of Euro-Mediterranean Foreign Ministers in Irish capital Dublin, Gul said, ''Turkey hosted the first EU-OIC Joint Forum meeting two years ago. As a result of our meetings with EU and OIC officials, we decided to maintain this initiative. The second meeting of the EU-OIC Joint Forum will be held in Istanbul between October 4 and 5, 2004.''
