ISTANBUL - A group of members of the National Youth Foundation (MGV) has laid a black wreath in front of the U.S. Consulate General in Istanbul to protest torture events in Iraq.
A group of MGV members gathered in front of the U.S. Consulate General building by carrying placards in their hands.
They made a press release and laid a black wreath in front of the building.
Later, the group dispersed peacefully.
Earlier, leading world newspapers and magazines published pictures of U.S. soldiers abusing Iraqis at Abu Ghraib prison, Iraq's largest prison. The pictures caused outrage in the world.
