ANKARA - Iraqi Turkmen Front (ITF) Parliament Speaker Saadettin Ergec met on Tuesday with Turkey's Special Representative for Iraq Osman Koruturk in Foreign Ministry.
Following the meeting, Ergec told reporters that they discussed the latest situation in Iraq, Kirkuk and interim administrative law issues.
Stating that there was injustice against Turkmens in the law, Ergec said that representation of Turkmens failed to reflect their rate of population in society and they were accepted as second-class society.
Ergec said that they expressed their reaction on the issue.
When asked whether or not they had any demand on the issue from Ankara, Ergec noted, ''we expect support of everyone who attach importance to humanity.''
Replying to a question on photographs on abuse of Iraqi prisoners, Ergec said that they were against every kind of torture and inhuman actions.
Stressing that societies which respected humanity and which talked about democracy should not make such actions, Ergec added that people who committed this crime should be punished.
