ISTANBUL - The International Committee for Fair Play will convene in Karamursel town of Turkey's Aegean province of Izmit from May 6 to 8.
The committee members who will be the guests of World Fair Play award-winning Turkish 1948 Olympic champion Gazanfer Bilge will discuss revisions in regulations, 2003 awards and further activities.
Erdogan Aripinar of Turkey, International Sports Press Association (AIPS) Chairman Togay Bayatli of Turkey and UEFA First Vice-President Senes Erzik of Turkey are among the members of the committee.
The International Committee for Fair Play's mission is to draw the attention of the world to the outstanding examples of fair play attitude and good sportsmanship in sports.
The Committee presents awards annually in three categories (act of fair play, sports career and promotion of fair play) to famous and less well known athletes all over the world.
