DENIZLI - Pamukkale Wine Industry and Trade Corp, a Turkish wine production company in Aegean Denizli province, exported 750 thousand liters of wine to European countries annually, Yasin Tokat, the Chairman of Executive Board of the company said on Monday.
Tokat told A.A correspondent that Pamukkale wines would firstly become a European trademark and then a world trademark.
Noting that his company had recorded progress on their road to become a European and world trademark, Tokat said that his company was exporting 750 thousand litters of wine to many European countries like France and Germany, which always drank wine during their meals and it was the best indicator of their progress.
Tokat stated that Pamukkale Wine Industry and Trade Corp was processing around four tons of grapes, and producing three million liters of wine in 20 different tastes a year.
The company was exporting 25 percent of its production to European countries like France, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark and Austria, Tokat pointed out.
Tokat said that Pamukkale Wine Industry and Trade Corp was providing Turkey with 5 million U.S. dollars of foreign exchange income through its exports.
Their wines were sold at luxurious shopping malls in Europe, including Metro AG, Marcs and Spencer, and Carrefour which were mainly visited by people of high income, Tokat pointed out.
Tokat said that their factory could produce 4 million liters of wine in time.
Two wines of Pamukkale Wine Industry and Trade Corp, named Shiraz and Sauvignon, were chosen among the best six red wines of Turkey by the Gusto magazine, Tokat noted.
Tokat stated that Turkish wines would be seen in many world countries soon.
Pamukkale Wine Industry and Trade Corp brought grapes from Europe like semillon, chardonnay, cabarnet sauvignon and shiraz and grapes all around Turkey like okuzgozu, Calkarasi, bogazkere, kalecik karasi to Denizli and formed vineyards, Tokat added.
