ANKARA - Belgian Crown Prince Philippe would pay a visit to Turkey to improve commercial relations between Turkey and Belgium, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
Releasing a statement, Foreign Ministry said that Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde would be accompanied by a delegation including Belgian Minister of Economy, Energy, Foreign Trade and Science Policy Fientje Moerman and Belgian businessmen during his visit to Turkey between May 2 and 6.
The statement noted that Prince Philippe would visit Turkey in order to improve commercial relations and investment between the two countries and stated that Prince Philippe would meet with representatives of private sector in Istanbul and Ankara.
Prince Philippe will be received by Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on May 4. Belgian Crown Prince is also expected to meet with State Ministers Kursad Tuzmen and Ali Babacan.
He will also attend the opening of Traktabel-Baymina power plant in Polatli town of Ankara.
Crown Prince Philippe will also visit Sagalassos excavation zone in Mediterranean province of Burdur on May 5.
Prince Philippe is expected to depart from Turkey on May 6.
