Gul Meets With U.S. And British Ambassadors To Turkey

ANKARA - Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul has met with U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Eric Edelman and British Ambassador to Turkey Peter Westmacott at a luncheon.
Sources told the A.A correspondent on Friday that the meeting focused on recent developments in Cyprus following last week's twin referendums.
Prior to the luncheon, Gul told reporters that period of a new struggle had started in Cyprus.
Upon a question about his yesterday's telephone conversation with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov of Russia, Gul said, ''I explained our rightful thesis about Cyprus.''
