ANKARA - Turkey's export quantity index dropped by 17.8 percent, while its import quantity index rose by 3.2 percent in February 2004 when compared to the previous month.
The State Institute of Statistics (DIE) announced on Friday the foreign trade indices of February 2004.
Export quantity index rose by 9.8 percent and import quantity index climbed by 39.3 percent in February 2004 when compared to the same month of 2003.
Export quantity index increased by 8.2 percent and import quantity index rose by 31.5 percent in the average of 2-month periods.
By the average of 12-month periods, export quantity index 20.4 percent, import quantity index 34.9 percent, export price index 10.9 percent, import price index 6.7 percent increased, respectively.
Export price index dropped by 0.1 percent and import price index fell by 1.1 percent in February when compared to January.
