Securities Account At Banks Rise By 630.8 Trillion Turkish Liras

ANKARA - The securities account at banks rose 630.8 trillion Turkish Liras (TL) to 60 quadrillion 119.1 trillion TL on April 16, 2004.
The total securities account at banks were 59 quadrillion 488.3 trillion TL on April 9.
The Central Bank data show that there were a total of 59 quadrillion 125.2 trillion TL of securities including 38 quadrillion 221.7 trillion TL of securities and 20 quadrillion 903.4 trillion TL of securities over foreign currency in the deposit banks portfolio.
The TL securities at deposit banks are composed of 2 quadrillion 248.6 trillion TL in treasury bonds, 35 quadrillion 352.8 trillion TL in state debenture bonds and 595.2 trillion TL in stocks.
A total of 1 quadrillion 35.6 trillion TL of foreign currency securities at these banks are abroad while there is a total of 19 quadrillion 806.3 trillion TL of state debenture bonds among the domestic securities.
The total securities account at the development and investment banks were 989.9 trillion TL.
