VAN - Turkish gendarme forces confiscated 28 kilograms of heroin in an operation in Gevas town of eastern Van province, sources said on Wednesday.
Acting on a tip-off, gendarme forces stopped a car and seized 28 kilograms of heroin hidden in the car.
The driver of the car was detained in the operation.
Turkish police had seized 22.1 kilograms of heroin in an operation in eastern Van province on Tuesday. Police stopped a car and confiscated 22.1 kilograms of heroin hidden in the car in Van's Gurpinar town. The driver and a passenger in the car were detained in connection with heroin trafficking.
