Rock Star Rachid Taha To Give A Concert In Ankara

ANKARA - Algerian rock star Rachid Taha will give a concert in Ankara`s Saklikent Music Hall on May 10.
Rachid Taha will come to Ankara for the world premiere of his seventh album which will be in markets this summer.
Musicians; Hakim Hamadouche, Abdelouab Abrit, Yves Aouizerate, Noel Delfin, Idris Badarou and Rachid Belkacem will accompany Taha in his concert in Saklikent.
Rachid Taha is determined to pluck the rhythm and energy of North African dance music out of the bazaar and into the rock and pop charts. Taha insists that his music is not rai (a style of Algerian popular music played on electric guitar, synthesizer, and percussion instruments) - but, instead, a fusion of this regional music with harsher sounds of mainstream rock and punk and the energy modern dance music.
