State Minister Tuzmen Leaves For Bosnia - Herzegovina

ISTANBUL - Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen has left for Bosnia-Herzegovina to hold a series of meetings.
Holding a press conference at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport prior to his departure, Tuzmen said, ''Turkey attributes great importance to its bilateral relations with Bosnia-Herzegovina. A delegation of Turkish businessmen is accompanying me. We will attend Turkish-Bosnian Business Council meetings. I will also hold bilateral meetings with some Bosnian ministers.''
Noting that the trade volume between Turkey and Bosnia-Herzegovina rose 43 percent to 73 million U.S. dollars in 2003, Tuzmen said, ''we have been exerting efforts to increase the trade volume with Bosnia-Herzegovina in a balanced way.''
He recalled that the Free Trade Agreement between Turkey and Bosnia-Herzegovina came into force on July 1, 2003.
Tuzmen told reporters that a Turkish firm would sign an agreement in energy during his visit to Bosnia-Herzegovina.
