ANKARA - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Talat and Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Denktas arrived in Ankara early on Thursday.
Talat and Denktas will meet with Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul at lunch in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs residence to assess the point reached in Cyprus process.
Talat and Denktas are expected to depart from Ankara for TRNC late on the same day.
Prior to his departure for Istanbul from Lefkosa early the same day, Serdar Denktas told reporters that they would hold meetings with TRNC President Rauf Denktas and other officials after they completed their meetings in Ankara.
He said that their meetings with foreign mission representatives in Cyprus and all foreign officials they would be able to reach would increase.
Asked how he assessed developments at the European Union (EU) and U.N. Security Council about the TRNC, Serdar Denktas said, ''they are of course not satisfactory but we should not expect everything ready-made for us. We will exert efforts to overcome problems.''
