LOS ANGELES - Actor Kiefer Sutherland was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving in Los Angeles early Tuesday, police confirmed.
Sutherland, best known as terrorist-fighting special agent Jack Bauer in hit TV show "24," was taken into custody after being stopped in West Hollywood at around 1:10 am (0800 GMT), a Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman said.
The actor was booked for misdemeanor driving under the influence at the Hollywood Station and released at around 6:00 am on 25,000 dollars bail.
According to celebrity website TMZ.com, the arrest is the second time Sutherland has been stopped for drink-driving in five years following an arrest in 2004.
Under California law if he's convicted he must serve a mandatory minimum of five days in jail.
