YUKSEKOVA - Turkish police seized 18 kilograms of heroin in Yuksekova town of southeastern Hakkari province, sources said on Tuesday.
Turkish police stopped a car and confiscated 18 kilograms of heroin smuggled from countries which had borders with Turkey.
The driver of the car was detained in the operation.
Hakkari Governor Erdogan Gurbuz told reporters after the operation that Turkish police had seized 107.7 kilograms of drugs in their operations since the beginning of 2004, adding that 22 people were captured in connection with drug trafficking.
