LONDON - Turkish Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan said on Tuesday that interest of foreign investors in Turkey reached to the peak point.
Unakitan, who met with foreign investors during the meetings arranged by International finance institution Merrill Lynch, replied to questions of A.A correspondent.
Unakitan said the investors he met, told him that they considered betterment in Turkey's macro-economic indicators as very positive.
Unakitan however noted that the investors complained that supply of both the private and the public sector to markets were inadequate. Unakitan said, ''they told me that there was not necessary supply in share markets and that the investors expected this from Turkey.''
Unakitan said there was intensive interest particularly in companies like Erdemir, Telekom, and Petkim, stating that, ''it is seen that the interest and demand are more than the interest shown in Eastern Europe.''
Unakitan is scheduled to participate in meetings that will be staged by international finance institution Morgan Stanley on Wednesday.
Unakitan is expected to return to Turkey on April 29 after completing his meetings in London.
