Seventh Flying Broom International Women's Films Festival To Start On May 6

ANKARA - The Seventh Flying Broom International Women's Films Festival will be held in Ankara between May 6 and 16, 2004 with the participation of 64 female film directors from 28 countries.
Holding a press conference to promote the festival, Ministry of Culture and Tourism Deputy Undersecretary Zeynel Koc, Flying Broom Coordinator Halime Guner and the other officials said on Tuesday that Suzan Avci, one of the leading female performances in Turkish cinema, would be presented with this year's honorary award.
During the festival, works of 64 female film directors from 28 countries such as France, Italy, Austria, Mexico, Germany, Greece, Australia, South Korea, Portugal, Finland, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Denmark, Indonesia and Sweden will be shown.
A special session will be held in the festival out of respect to worldwide famous actress Katharine Hepburn. Her films such as ''Adam's Rib'', ''Women of Year'' and ''Philadelphia Story'' will be shown.
In ''A County: Spain'' part of the festival, ''Se Quien Eres'' of Patricia Ferreria, ''Flores de Otro Mundo'' of Iciar Bollain, ''Me Llamo Sara'' of Dolores Payas, ''Cosas Que Nunca Te Dije'' of Isabel Coixet and ''El Perro Del Hortelano'' of Pilar Miro will be shown.
