ANKARA - Turkish Labor and Social Security Minister Murat Basesgioglu has left for the People's Republic of China.
Basesgioglu will attend the Chinese Employment Forum to be held by the Chinese Ministry of Labor and the International Labor Organization between April 28 and 30, 2004.
Holding a press conference at Ankara's Esenboga Airport prior to his departure, Basesgioglu said on Monday that issues such as restructure of business market, encouragement of employment, recent developments in vocational training, fight against poverty, employment of women and employment problems in rural areas would be discussed at the forum.
''A number of ministers from European and Asian countries, high-level experts and representatives of confederations of employees and employers will attend the forum,'' he added.
Basesgioglu will return to Turkey on May 2.
