IZMIR - Police intervened in a group of people who did not disperse peacefully but chanted slogans after laying a black wreath at the gate to the German Consulate in western province of Izmir to protest inclusion of terrorist organization PKK/Kongra-Gel in the European Union's (EU) list of terrorist organizations.
The group which gathered in front of building of the Democratic People's Party (DEHAP) in Konak district of Izmir chanted slogans to protest ''inclusion of PKK/Kongra-Gel in EU's list of terrorist organization''.
The group laid a black wreath at the gate to the German Consulate in Izmir after press statement of DEHAP's Konak Office Chairman Huseyin Dag. Later the group started to march to most busy section of the province by chanting slogans as a support to head terrorist Abdullah Ocalan.
Police intervened in the demonstrators as they insisted on marching to busy streets and chanting slogans and detained two demonstrators.
