LEFKOSA - The United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan's Special Envoy to Cyprus Alvaro de Soto paid a farewell visit to Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Talat on Monday.
The mission of De Soto on the island failed with the collapse of Annan Plan when Greek Cypriot side voted against the plan in referendum.
TRNC Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Denktas also attended the meeting.
No statements were released after the meeting.
De Soto has visited Talat for the first time throughout the period he has been in the island within the scope of good will mission.
