VIENNA - Turkish Religious Affairs Head Prof. Dr. Ali Bardakoglu has said that the Islam did not support acts of terrorism.
Prof. Dr. Bardakoglu, who is currently in Austrian capital Vienna to attend general assembly meeting of Austria-Turkey Islamic Union, told the A.A correspondent on Friday, ''the Islam world should have reacted harshly against recent acts of terrorism of several fundamentalist organizations, however, the Islam world failed to display its reaction. In our age, terrorism uses the holy values of religions.''
Bardakoglu met with Turkish businessmen and representatives of Turkish associations in Vienna.
He will attend general assembly meeting of Austria-Turkey Islamic Union on Saturday.
Prof. Dr. Bardakoglu and the accompanying delegation are expected to return to Turkey on Sunday.
