Culture And Tourism Ministry To Organize Turkish Tourism Days In Iran And Syria

ANKARA - Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry would strengthen tourism relations with Iran and Syria, sources said on Saturday.
The ministry will organize ''Turkish Tourism Days'' in capitals of Iran and Syria which are among countries sending the highest number of tourists to Turkey.
Sources told the A.A correspondent that Culture and Tourism Ministry has launched initiatives to further develop relations with Iran and Syria, speed up tourist flow between countries, improve relations between travel agencies of countries and support joint initiatives.
''Turkish Tourism Day'' will be held at Grand Azadi Hotel in Tehran, Iran on April 27-29. Iran is the sixth country among countries sending the highest number of tourists to Turkey.
A panel will be held with participation of representatives of tourism sector organizations of Turkey and Iran on April 28.
Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Erkan Mumcu will meet with Iranian Culture Minister and high level officials. ''Memorandum of Understanding on Tourism Cooperation'' will also be signed.
Meanwhile, Turkish Tourism Days will also be held in Damascus, Syria on May 16, 17 and 18. Turkish handicrafts exhibition will be opened in Damascus.
