Tuzmen: Trade Volume Between Turkey And Greece Will Exceed $2 Billion

ATHENS - Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen has said, ''the trade volume between Turkey and Greece will exceed 2 billion U.S. dollars by the end of 2004.''
Replying to questions of journalists, Tuzmen who is currently paying an official visit to Greece, said on Friday, ''we increased our trade volume with Greece from 600 million U.S. dollars to 1.3 billion U.S. dollars last year. The trade volume between Turkey and Greece will exceed 2 billion U.S. dollars by the end of 2004. We believe that the trade volume will rise up to 3 billion U.S. dollars in 2005.''
Noting that there had been some technical problems in exports from Turkey to Greece, Tuzmen told reporters, ''the quota granted to Turkey in transportation may become insufficient in the coming years. During our meetings with Greek officials, we are seeking solutions to such problems.''
