Gap Region Exports $67.2 Million Of Carpets

GAZIANTEP - Exports of carpets from the Southeastern Anatolia Project (GAP) region increased 91.2 percent to 67 million 217 thousand U.S. dollars in the January-March period of 2004.
In the same period last year, the region exported 35 million 149 thousand U.S. dollars of carpets.
Most of the carpets were exported to Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Romania, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Russia and Germany.
