NEW YORK - Turkish State Minister Ali Babacan met on Thursday with foreign investment circles at a meeting held in New York.
Babacan, currently having meetings in the United States, attended dinner and met with U.S. investors.
Babacan briefed the investors about the economic reforms and other financial developments in Turkey, and replied to the questions of the investors particularly about the economic perspective of Turkey after 2004.
The investors said they appreciated Turkey's economic performance so far, and noted that they were searching for new investment areas.
Central Bank Deputy Governor Erdem Basci gave the investors information about the interest rates and rate of exchange at the meeting.
