US objectives in Iraq achievable: Crocker

WASHINGTON - US Ambassador Ryan Crocker said Monday US objectives in Iraq are achievable and its people capable of living in peace.
"A secure, stable, democratic Iraq at peace with its neighbors is, in my view, attainable," he told members of the US Congress.
"The trajectory of political, economic, and diplomat developments in Iraq is upwards, although the slope of that line is not steep," he said.
