Denktas Calls On Government To Launch Initiative To Prevent U.N. Security Council Resolution

LEFKOSA - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Rauf Denktas on Wednesday called on the government to launch initiative to prevent the U.N. Security Council resolution.
Holding a press conference, Denktas reacted to the resolution on Cyprus which is expected to be approved in the U.N. Security Council on Wednesday and called on the government to launch initiative to prevent this resolution.
Stating that TRNC Foreign Ministry was holding talks on the issue, Denktas said that they could not accept Security Council's reference to its previous resolutions on Cyprus and giving U.N. Peace Keeping Force right for armed intervention.
